Bike Rentals and Tours in Telluride has long been a Mecca
for mountain bikers.
Lizard Head to Galloping Goose trails
are classic single track bike trails, with some jeep roads appropriate
for beginners to intermediate riders. Thrill seekers and advanced
riders can push their skills on our classic single track rides along
Mill Creek or Deep
Creek. Mellow trails follow the
river and valley floor for those wanting just to cruise on their
own or to take children along for a ride. The person looking for
total immersion may want to spend an overnight at Alta Lakes Observatory and explore far reaching trails
that wind through the wilderness with their guide.
Half day tours include bikes,
helmets, rain jackets if needed, snacks, juice or sodas and water.
Full Day Adventures include all that PLUS gourmet picnic lunch.
Pick ups can be arranged at either our Oak street, Telluride
Further Adventures Desk and bike rental shop
or at our Mountain Village Center BootDoctors
Shop.

Check Out Our Fleet
We have only the very best bikes for our tours and for rent.
Our tour fleet consists of high end front or full suspension Giant
mountain bikes. In our rental and demo pool we have a variety of top-of-the-line
Specialized, Pivot, Giant and Ellsworth bikes.
We have a team of highly qualified mechanics working at all
three of our shops to make sure that all our bikes are well maintained
and ready to ride.

Our Guides
Our guides come from many walks and rides of life. With extensive
experience in mountain bike riding, some in competitions and some
in years of personal pursuit of riding skills, plus training in
first aid and guiding techniques, they are extremely competent
and willing to work with you to be sure that your adventure meets
your expectations. They are well versed in history and naturalist
information about the mountainous backdrop as well as the details

LIZARD
HEAD TO GALLOPING GOOSE
1⁄2 Day Adventure A.M. or P.M.
Lizard Head to Galloping Goose
Half Day 15 mile Adventure A.M. or P.M.
This classic high altitude ride starts with van transport up to
Lizard Head Pass. For the ensuing hours, riders delight in a gentle
downhill gradient. The ride progresses from a fire road off the
pass surrounded by majestic 14,000 foot peaks, to the invigorating
single track of the historic Galloping Goose rail bed. After cruising
through aspen forests, meadows of wildflowers, and breathtaking
views of the San Juan Mountains, the ride culminates near the termination
of Illium Valley. This is the perfect ride for the first time mountain
biker.
$95 each rider (minimum of 3 riders needed)
Pick Ups are: A.M.- 8:30am, returning at 1pm; and P.M.- 1pm, returning
at 5pm.

CREEK LOOP

Adventure Rides - For the Athletic Adrenaline
Seeker
Half day, full day or multi-day adventures available.
For the experienced rider, Telluride is surrounded by amazing trails.
Our guides can show riders why Telluride is world class biking.
The Mill Creek Loop provides a challenging climb, and then traverses
along a historic mining era water line. The trail is perched on
the ridge north of Telluride providing an eagle’s eye view
of the town and box canyon.
Deep Creek
climbs from the early Aldasaro Ranch through the meadows and ridges
looking across the legendary Wilson and Sunshine Peaks.
Wilson Mesa Trail is a full day adventure for the more experienced
rider. This trail is a high alpine exploration.
Your guide can tailor your rides to suit your skills and fitness.

The Alta Observatory is truly an amazing lodge located close to
timberline in the basin below Palmyra Peak. Working in conjunction
with the Alta Observatory, we can provide lodging at this abode
and guide riders to multiple rides looping from this spectacular
location.
